The Mediterranean Diet Foundation, a partner of the MedDiet Go project, is currently participating in the international conference “Lifestyle, Diet, Wine and Health”, which opened today in Rome. The event brings together leading researchers, health professionals, and policy makers to explore the links between dietary patterns, lifestyle habits, and long-term health outcomes.
Over the course of the next two days, the conference will provide a platform for sharing the latest scientific evidence on the Mediterranean Diet and its impact on health. Particular attention will be given to its role in the prevention of chronic diseases, such as cardiovascular conditions and diabetes, as well as its contribution to healthy aging and longevity.
Participants will also delve into how gastronomy, culture, and social practices interact with a healthy lifestyle, reinforcing the Mediterranean Diet not just as a nutritional model but as a holistic approach to well-being. This perspective aligns closely with the objectives of MedDiet Go, which promotes the Mediterranean Diet as a cornerstone of sustainable living and territorial development.
The Foundation’s involvement in this international event further contributes to the broader conversation around the Mediterranean Diet, helping to disseminate scientific knowledge and promote healthy and sustainable lifestyles—values at the heart of both the Foundation’s work and the MedDiet Go initiative.
