ADRAL Launches the Mediterranean Diet Living Lab in Alentejo

08/10/2025

Our partner ADRAL, represented by EDIA’s Vice President, Augusta Cachopo, launched the 2nd Alentejo Living Lab Workshop on September 30 at the University of Évora, as part of the MedDiet Go Interreg MED project.

It was a focused working meeting aimed at fostering collaboration between public and private stakeholders to turn the Mediterranean Diet into real value for the region.

THE EVENT

Throughout the afternoon:

  • the authenticity criteria (products, restaurants/services, experiences/visits) were aligned.
  • short-term areas of action were prioritized.
  • micro-commitments and next steps for pilot projects in the region were defined.
  • funding opportunities and interregional collaboration prospects were shared.

Next steps include the publication of the workshop summary, the schedule of the first pilot projects, and the preparation of the Living Lab “one-stop shop”, designed to support local operators and projects.

ADRAL would like to thank the University of Évora for its warm welcome and all the entities and professionals present for their availability and valuable contributions.
